Trade program

Atelier Saddle exists in service to the material: cork, in its quiet grandeur, its capacity for reinvention, its quiet resilience. This is not a catalog of possibilities, but a manifesto of curation. For those who understand that the best design is not made in haste, but in the measured, deliberate act of selection—this is the program. Designed for architects, designers, and contractors who demand precision, who value the tactile and the enduring, and who recognize that cork, when treated with care, is not merely a surface, but a statement.

Eligibility

The program is reserved for professionals whose work reflects an understanding of materiality, scale, and the quiet authority of detail. Architects, interior designers, and contractors with a proven history of curating spaces that honor craftsmanship and longevity are invited to engage. Participation is by invitation only, extended to those who have demonstrated a commitment to quality, to the slow work of design, and to the unspoken contract between maker and user.

Memo Samples

Each eligible participant receives a curated selection of samples—chosen not by algorithm, but by the discerning eye of the atelier. These are not mere swatches, but fragments of the full story: textures, weights, finishes, and the subtle variations that define cork’s character. The samples are delivered with a note, outlining the history of each piece, its origin, and its potential in context. Requests for additional samples are not entertained; the atelier believes that the best selections emerge from restraint and trust in the material.

Lead Times and Terms

Orders are fulfilled with a lead time of four to six weeks, allowing for the meticulous preparation of each roll. This period ensures that every piece is cut, finished, and packaged with the exacting standards that define the atelier’s reputation. All qualifying professionals are extended NET-30 terms, a reflection of the mutual respect between the atelier and its partners. Payments are due within thirty days of invoice, with no exceptions, as the atelier adheres to the principles of clarity and integrity in all transactions.

Custom-Print Availability

Custom-print options are available through the Designer Wallcoverings family, which has supplied the design trade since 1996. These prints are executed with the same reverence for material and process, ensuring that the integrity of cork is preserved even when transformed. The process begins with a consultation, during which the atelier’s team collaborates with the client to refine the vision. Prints are limited to the atelier’s capacity, and each is produced with the same care as the standard collection.

The Designer Wallcoverings Relationship

The atelier’s parent house, Designer Wallcoverings, has served the design trade since 1996, cultivating a legacy of precision, depth, and accessibility. This relationship provides Atelier Saddle with access to an extensive archive of finishes, techniques, and historical references, ensuring that each product is informed by decades of expertise. The parent house also guarantees the availability of real samples, the presence of a human at the other end of every inquiry, and the assurance that every roll is curated with the same uncompromising standards that define the atelier’s identity.
