# TK-11041 — Can email price-list attachments price the 39 live Innovations SKUs without the portal login?

**Task:** READ-ONLY. Determine whether DW already has an Innovations (acct 58315) price list in
Gmail good enough to price the 39 live wallcovering colorways (patterns Costine/CSO, Enchase/ENS,
Flanders/FLN, Province/PRO, Skylark/SKL, Tatami/TTM, Vinyl Cork/VCO) — WITHOUT the
innovationsusa.com trade-portal login this ticket is otherwise blocked on. Agent: vp-dw-commerce.
Ticket: TK-11041-tk-10978-follow-on-innovations-re-scrape. No DB write, no Shopify write, no
email sent — output is this file + staged copies of the two PDFs found.

## VERDICT: **PARTIALLY** — coverage is complete (39/39) but the number is STALE and does not
## satisfy "current NET price." Two email price-list PDFs exist and cover all 7 target patterns
## (hence all 39 SKUs, since Innovations prices at the PATTERN level, not per colorway) — but the
## newest one is 11 months old (dated 2025-10-01), and DW's own more recent correspondence
## (through 2026-09-11, yesterday) proves at least one further price increase has happened since
## and that Innovations now refuses to email a list at all, redirecting to the login-only portal.
## **This does not unblock the ticket** for a defensible current price — it gives a same-ballpark
## reference point only, with a known-stale delta.

## 1. The two named messages — both HAD an attachment; both are genuine price lists

Both PDFs downloaded and saved (this session) to:
- `rescrape/1025-price-list-hektor-2025-10-09.pdf` (+ `.txt` layout extraction)

Both are genuine, full-catalog, pattern-level Innovations wholesale price lists (not quotes for
a single order) — they list ~150-200 patterns each with columns: **Net Price $/yard, Minimum
Order, Cut Fee Code, Typical Roll Size, Stock Location, CFA Available, Composition, Item
Width, Weight/Yard, Repeat.**

## 2. Widened search — found THREE more relevant threads, and they change the answer

Search `from:innovationsusa.com has:attachment` (account `info`, 201 total hits, all reviewed by
date) surfaced two threads that are far more decision-relevant than the two seed messages:

**This is the single most important finding of this pass**: DW has *already asked Innovations,
twice, in 2026* (June and September) for a current price list by email, and been refused both
times with a redirect to the login-gated portal. There is no unexplored email avenue that would
produce a fresher list than what's already in the mailbox — the vendor's current policy (as of
yesterday) is portal-only. Any future attempt to re-ask by email would very likely get the same
answer; this is now DOCUMENTED VENDOR POLICY, not an untried option.

One partial exception found: **`19ed18e800373ca5`** (2026-06-16, Scott Currier, "Re: Stock and
Price Check for MFR-02") shows Innovations WILL confirm a single SKU's price by email on direct
ask ("Mayfair / MFR-02 is $53.95 a yard, you get a 10% per yard discount bring it to $48.55 a
yard"). This is a viable **future gated action** (ask Hektor/Scott by email for current per-yard
net on the 7 named patterns specifically) but is NOT something this read-only pass can execute
(no email send permitted), and precedent above (Sept 2026) shows a blanket "send me your price
list" ask gets refused — a narrow, named, 7-pattern ask has not been tried and might fare
differently, but that is a recommendation, not a finding.

No Innovations price-list attachment newer than 2025-10-09 exists anywhere in the `info` mailbox
(`steve-office` has none at all — only 1 unrelated Innovations hit, an account-terms email with
no price list). Two OLDER lists also exist (2024-12-06 `1939d6d20cd13ada`, 2022-12-07
`184ed9f51791c65b` "Detailed Price List") but are strictly older than the two already analyzed
and add no new information.

## 3. Coverage check — all 7 patterns / all 39 SKUs ARE named in both PDFs, at pattern level

Innovations prices by **PATTERN**, not by colorway — confirmed two ways: (a) both PDFs list one
row per pattern name with no colorway breakdown, and (b) the June-2026 authenticated-portal crawl
already in `dw_unified.innovations_catalog` shows multiple colorways of the same pattern (e.g.
`COA-001`…`COA-009` "Coast Wallcovering") all carrying the **identical** `price_retail`. So one
pattern-level price legitimately applies to every colorway/mfr_sku under it, including our 39.

**Coverage is complete: 39 of 39.** This is a real, positive finding — the earlier ticket
assumption ("0 trustworthy local recovery sources," per `README.md`) undersold what's sitting in
the mailbox for the PRICE dimension specifically (identity/spec was already 51/51 recovered by
the sweep; price is what remained gated, and email gets you *a* number for all 39, just not a
provably-current one — see §5).

## 4. LIST vs NET — is the PDF's "Net Price $/yard" column DW's net cost, or the vendor's list?

**Determination: it is the vendor's own published wholesale/trade price — functionally the same
series as `dw_unified.innovations_catalog.price_retail` (what the ticket calls LIST) — NOT
DW's discounted net cost.** DW must still apply its confirmed 10% discount on top.

**How I know (cross-pattern trend triangulation, not a guess):** The June-2026 authenticated
portal crawl already stores `price_retail` (labeled LIST in this ticket's own framing) for other
Innovations patterns. Three patterns exist in BOTH an emailed PDF AND the June-2026 portal crawl,
letting me line up three points in time for the identical pattern:

All three patterns show a smooth, continuous UPWARD trend across all three snapshots, with the
June-2026 portal value (known, unambiguously, to be LIST) the HIGHEST of the three every time. If
the PDF's "Net Price" meant DW's 10%-discounted net, the PDF values would sit ~10% BELOW an
equivalent-date list, not on a rising continuum that terminates exactly at the portal's LIST
figure. There is no discontinuity or discount-shaped gap anywhere in the sequence — it reads as
one undiscounted price line moving up over time via ordinary increases (Hektor's Oct-2025 email
explicitly cites "our most recent price increase which happened August 1st [2025]" as the cause
of that jump). **Conclusion: "Net Price" in Innovations' own price-list vocabulary means "our net
selling price to the trade before your account discount" — i.e., it is LIST in DW's terms, the
same thing the portal calls `price_retail`.** This is a vendor-terminology collision, not
ambiguous data — Innovations calls its own undiscounted trade rate "Net Price," and DW's discount
(10%, independently settled in `DISCOUNT-EVIDENCE.md`) is applied on top of it, exactly as Scott
Currier's June-2026 email states ("your discount is 10%") and as Sales Order O-111475 proves
line-by-line ($33.95 list × 0.90 = $30.55 net-to-DW).

I could NOT do this cross-check on the 7 target patterns directly, because none of them have a
`price_retail` value in `dw_unified.innovations_catalog` at all (all 39 rows are NULL on
price_trade/price_retail/price_source — confirmed by direct query) — this is exactly the gap the
ticket exists to close, so there is no in-catalog ground truth for these specific 7 patterns to
check against. The LIST/NET determination above rests on the adjacent-pattern trend, not on a
direct same-pattern comparison, and should be read with that caveat.

## 5. Freshness — stated plainly, not as a footnote

**The newest usable attachment is dated 2025-10-01 ("Updated 10/01/25"), retrieved from an email
sent 2025-10-09. Today is 2026-09-12. That price list is 11 months, 12 days old.**

It is PROVABLY superseded, not just "probably stale by age":
- The three-pattern trend in §4 shows Innovations raised prices again between Oct-2025 and the
  Jun-2026 portal snapshot (+3.2% to +7.1% across the three comparable patterns in that window
  alone).
- Innovations' own rep language ("our most recent price increase which happened August 1st")
  shows this vendor runs periodic list-wide increases, not a static price book.
- Innovations has since (2026-06-17, then again 2026-09-02) explicitly declined two separate DW
  requests for an updated price list and pointed to the portal instead — meaning no fresher
  static list is obtainable by asking again; the vendor's answer is now on record as "no."

**None of the 7 target patterns' Oct-2025 prices can be treated as this cohort's CURRENT price.**
At minimum, expect the same ~3-9% uplift the comparable patterns saw by June 2026, and further
increases are possible between June 2026 and today (unmeasured — no data point exists past
June 2026 for any pattern in this catalog).

## 6. Staged mapping (PROPOSAL ONLY — NOT written to dw_unified or Shopify)

All 39 SKUs, pattern-level spec + price pulled from the two PDFs, with a computed "estimated DW
net" applying the independently-confirmed 10% discount to the STALE Oct-2025 list figure. **This
is explicitly a fallback reference number, not a price to import** — see verdict above.

Three patterns (Costine, Enchase, Vinyl Cork) show **no change** Jan-2025 → Oct-2025, i.e. they
were not part of the Aug-2025 increase Hektor described — but that says nothing about whether
they moved in a LATER increase (none of the three appear in the June-2026-portal overlap set, so
there's no data point past Oct-2025 for them either; they are just as unmeasured-since as the
other four).

## 7. What's still missing (why this stays PARTIAL, not YES)

1. **No price point newer than 2025-10-01 exists for any of the 39 SKUs**, and the comparable-
   pattern evidence proves the real current price is higher — by an unknown, unmeasured amount
   past June 2026.
2. **The portal remains the only channel with a live, current number**, and DW's own
   correspondence (as recently as yesterday, 2026-09-11) already accepted that the portal is the
   sole channel Innovations will provide going forward — this is now documented, not assumed.
3. **A narrow, named ask** ("what's the current per-yard net on Costine/Enchase/Flanders/
   Province/Skylark/Tatami/Vinyl Cork specifically") has precedent for working (§2, MFR-02
   single-SKU example) but has not been tried for this exact 7-pattern list, and sending it is
   outside this read-only pass's authority (no email send permitted here).

## Recommendation (not executed — outside this pass's scope)

Draft (do not send without Steve's go, per standing rules) a short, NAMED email to Hektor
Martinez/Scott Currier asking for current per-yard net pricing on exactly these 7 pattern names
— this has real precedent of getting answered (the MFR-02 exchange), is a much narrower ask than
the twice-refused "send us your whole price list," and would settle this without a portal login.
If that also gets deflected to the portal, the STALE Oct-2025 figures above (with the ~3-9%
uplift buffer already observed in comparable patterns) are the best available fallback for a
provisional listing, clearly marked as an estimate pending vendor confirmation.
