# Fentucci 21 — benign $5-sample; c68 ACTIVE scope decoded 5/5, but +221 DRAFT abnormal-samples remain (scope NOT fully closed) — cycle 82

> ## ⚠️ SCOPE CORRECTION (officer #4 → verified in-cycle): "CLOSED 5/5" was ACTIVE-only
> A draft sweep found **221 DRAFT abnormal-samples beyond the 532 active** — **Thibaut 183** (likely draft-disco, same line as the active stragglers) + **Fentucci Naturals Walls 38** (a DIFFERENT Fentucci sub-vendor than the active "Fentucci" 21). So the c68 abnormal-sample scope is decoded for the **ACTIVE** population (532, 5/5 vendors) but is **NOT fully closed** — the ~221 draft set (+ archived, unswept) remains. Reframed below.

**DTD verdict A (unanimous 3/3).** READ-ONLY (reused the c81 `ol-basis-decode.mjs` vendor-arg decoder + Admin GraphQL + psql; no mutation), **$0**. Decodes the final c68 abnormal-sample remnant → closes the scope 5/5.

## 🎯 Result: Fentucci 21 = correctly-labeled $5 samples, $0.75 above the $4.25 house standard (the BENIGN case)
- **21 single-variant "Sample" at a FLAT $5** (1 distinct price), all created **2026** (recent), active, barcode 0/21.
- **Basis by elimination:** 0 in `kravet_authoritative_pricing`, 0 in `product_map`, 0/4,242 costed → NOT Kravet-MAP. Fentucci (Fabrics/Murals/Naturals) is a **DW private-label own line** (same family as the `private-label-va-agents-no-scraper` set) → pricing is DW's own call.
- **Why this is NOT in the harmful buckets (the key decode):** $5 is **sample-scale**, so the "Sample" label MATCHES the price — this is NOT a roll-priced mislabel (contrast Cole&Son's "Sample"@$322 / O&L's @$76–962). It's NOT $0 (free-checkout). It's NOT a flat-roll-price disco placeholder (Thibaut's $125.43). It's simply **21 samples priced $5 instead of the $4.25 showroom-lines house standard** — off by $0.75.

## 🔬 Skeptical decode — the "flat=disco" heuristic MIS-FIRED (c74 discipline)
- The c81 decoder auto-labeled this "FLAT placeholder=disco signal" because there's 1 distinct price. **That heuristic is wrong here:** flat-at-a-ROLL-price (Thibaut $125.43) is a disco-placeholder signal; flat-at-a-SAMPLE-price ($5) is just uniform sample pricing. **Price MAGNITUDE, not just flatness, determines the meaning** — I checked the value ($5 = sample-scale) rather than trusting the flat-flag, and the 2026-recent + active + private-label-own-line facts confirm current, not disco. (Heuristic-correction worth carrying: a flat-price disco signal must also assert the price is roll/per-unit-scale, not sample-scale.)
- **Lifecycle (c74):** the exact-"Fentucci" vendor is 88% archived (2,589/2,947), but these 21 are 2026-created + active = recent additions, not stragglers of the archived bulk.

## Severity — P3 / arguably benign
- 21 correctly-labeled samples at $5 vs the $4.25 house standard = a $0.75 off-convention price on a private-label line whose price DW sets. No mislabel (label matches scale), no free-checkout, no deceptive "Sample"-at-roll-price. Lowest-severity of all 5 c68 vendors. Possibly intentional (Fentucci's chosen sample price).
