+# Instagram Fleet — Connect Checklist
+
+**Goal:** bring every DW Instagram account into the Marketing Command Center's API
+(post from one place). Audited 2026-07-16 via `/api/channels/ig-audit`.
+
+## ✅ Already LIVE & API-postable — 35 accounts (do NOT touch these)
+Reachable now through the MCC. 34 page-linked + 1 business-owned (@hospitalityfabrics).
+

+## 🔧 To bring in the OTHER accounts (the ~65 not showing)
+
+The Graph API can ONLY see **Business/Creator** IG accounts that are **linked to a Facebook
+Page**. Any account not showing above is in one of three states — here's the fix for each:
+
+### A. Account is PERSONAL (most common gap)
+Per account, in the Instagram app:
+1. Settings → **Account type and tools** → **Switch to professional account**
+2. Choose **Business** (or Creator)
+3. When prompted, **link a Facebook Page** (create a bare Page if it has none —
+   Pages are free and can be minimal)
+4. Done. Re-run the audit (below) and it appears automatically.
+
+### B. Account is Business/Creator but NOT page-linked
+1. IG app → Settings → **Business tools and controls** → **Connect a Facebook Page**
+2. Link it to a Page owned by one of these Business Managers:
+   DesignerWallcoverings.com · Wallpaper Installers · Designer Wallcoverings
+
+### C. Account is under a DIFFERENT Meta login / Business Manager
+- Either move the Page into one of the 3 businesses above (Business Settings →
+  add/transfer asset), OR mint a second token from that other login and we run a
+  second audit against it.
+
+### ❌ Cannot be reached by ANY token
+A personal account you don't want to convert to Business can only be posted to via the
+IG app directly, or an unofficial private-API tool (username/password login per account —
+**bot-flag / account-lock risk**, not recommended for accounts you care about).
+
+## Re-run the audit after converting a batch
+Any browser (basic-auth admin):
+`GET https://marketing.designerwallcoverings.com/api/channels/ig-audit`
+→ returns the fresh `total` + full account list + which business each came from.
+No re-token needed — the live long-lived token is permanent.
+
+## Reality check
+- 35 API-postable today is the real ceiling for the current token.
+- Growing past 35 = a per-account **convert-to-Business + link-a-Page** action (yours to do
+  in the IG app), then re-audit. There's no bulk API to convert accounts — Meta requires
+  the per-account switch by design.
