# Showroom reference — from Steve's 3 videos (2026-06-28)
Frames extracted to `/tmp/qh-refs/v{1,2,3}/frames/` (yt-dlp + ffmpeg, $0 local).
## v1 — the showroom to recreate (youtube watch?v=Pud1VF9NjaM, 3m41s)
A luxury interior-designer showroom:
- **Wall of wallcovering WINGS** — full-drop sample panels in **thin white/light frames**, packed side-by-side, each showing its **full pattern** + a small printed spec label; the designer flips through them.
- **Consultation TABLE** in the room with stacked rug / textile / material samples laid out (f58).
- A designer presenting ("scheme a room from the bottom up…"). Calm, bright, gallery-like.
→ Drives: the wing wall + a real consultation table with sample stacks; bright gallery lighting.
## v2 — fabrics on ANOTHER wall (youtube shorts/EMhCmHVXfJg, 16s)
A fabric shop: a person **flips through hanging fabric / drape samples on a rail** (vertical cloth drops), shelves of goods beside.
→ Drives: a SECOND wall dedicated to **fabric samples hanging on a rail** you swing through (distinct from the rigid wallcovering wings).
## v3 — HOW WINGS OPEN & MOVE (youtube shorts/ngAhTVUVK1k, 16s) ★ the mechanic
Full-height sample boards (labeled "Available in 8' × 4'") in **thin dark/bronze frames**, packed **~2" apart**, each on a **SIDE SWIVEL/hinge**. A hand flips them one at a time — the front board swings to face you and shows its **FULL pattern EDGE-TO-EDGE**; only the thin frame borders it. The others read as thin slivers beside it. **NOTHING crosses the pattern face — no bars.**
→ Drives: wings 2" apart on a side swivel; the focused board presents ONE clean 30"×6' full-pattern face, thin frame, no occluders.
## The "gray bars" defect (Steve, frustrated)
Current open state (`recordings/carousel/03-after-shift.png`): the centered board's pattern is crossed by gray/colored **vertical slat-bars** = raked neighbor slivers + frame edges overlapping IN FRONT of the open face. WRONG. Per v3 the open board = one clean full face, thin frame, neighbors beside/behind, real texture full-bleed. "should be 30\" x 6' tall. same pattern left and right open in middle."
## Locked build rules (Steve, this session)
- Room **20' × 20'**; **Steve AVATAR at GROUND LEVEL** (full figure, feet on floor) in the **middle** of the room, looking straight at the wings.
- Each wing **2" apart on a SWIVEL** (side-hinge), 30" wide × 6' tall, thin dark frame.
- Click a sliver → **carousel-shift** it to dead-center (dry-cleaner conveyor) → it swivels open to a **clean full pattern face, NO gray bars**.
- A second wall = **fabric samples hanging on a rail** (v2).
- A **consultation table** with stacked material samples (v1).
- Keep: fixed-centre viewer, clad-4-walls on select, detail-collapsed, 50 wings, V-picker, ① Numbers, V11 seated exception.
## → for the 10 high-end versions (V12–V21)
Each high-end version keeps THIS interaction (wing wall + swivel + carousel + clean open face) but re-skins the ROOM (lighting/materials/mood) — Gallery Noir, Atrium Daylight, Velvet Lounge, Brutalist, Art-Deco Brass, Tatami, Infinity Mirror, Conservatory, Penthouse Dusk, Grateful-Dead/Garcia room — per HIGH-END-VERSIONS-SPEC.md, grounded in the v1 gallery look.
