## 🔪 CONTRARIAN PANEL — bounded monitoring report, cycle-20260908T1600Z.ixRcVU
**Verdict: SHIP IT — monitoring evidence only. All three operational outcomes remain UNRESOLVED.**
**The 5 critics:**
- 🔧 Engineer — Independent installed canary, API 200/auth 401, protected-file hashes and local READ ONLY/ROLLBACK checks pass; the actual canary still FAILs. → SHIP IT
- 🎨 Designer — The opening zero-progress statement prevents the 28 PASS tally from pretending to be a victory lap. Dense number spacing is ugly but does not obscure the result. → SHIP IT
- 👤 User — Each ordered ticket explains its missing input or approval; the next closing report must preserve that actionability. → SHIP IT
- 🕵️ Skeptic — The failed psql instrumentation is preserved and corrected, and no provider cause is invented from log metadata. That earns trust. → SHIP IT
- ♟️ Strategist — Three unresolved tickets do not become progress because another report exists. The report explicitly claims zero progress and avoids another unchanged diagnosis. → SHIP IT
**The 3 holes that survived debate (ranked):**
1. The backup root is unstable: initial capture 3117 MB, independent Cody capture 3074 MB, both FAIL. A snapshot is not a monotonic trend or a stable maintenance preflight. Finalize with timestamped samples and the exact maintenance gate.
2. Enrichment has no request-level cause evidence. A newer log mtime cannot explain null results or establish recovery; preserve the 125-hour authoritative freshness failure and scoped observation prerequisite.
3. Wholesale costs and identity mapping remain absent; a local 1470-row mirror with zero positive values cannot prove live sellability. Preserve the vendor-input/catalog-write gate and no current Shopify count claim.
These are correctly disclosed operational holes, not concealed defects that block this monitoring artifact.
**The lazy shortcut you hoped we would not notice:** “28PASS,0FAIL,4criticalSKIPs” is dangerously applause-shaped. The opening explicitly says zero implementation/closures, and the skipped source journeys remain unresolved, so the shortcut is exposed rather than taken.
**Samenness:** Backup approval/stable capture, enrichment per-request cause, and vendor pricing/identity are three materially different blockers; no duplicate diagnosis is counted as an execution increment.
**Debate:** Engineer holds that the changing root demands a final timestamped sample, but concedes the initial 3117 MB evidence is valid at capture. Designer concedes count clarity outranks spacing. User holds the report needs actionable prerequisites; those are supplied. Skeptic concedes preserved failed instrumentation is an honest correction, not concealed failure. Strategist withdraws the strongest dissent, KILL IT for repetitive monitoring: this report assesses a bounded supplied queue without inventing implementation progress. Do not promote this vote into source recovery.
**Vote tally:** 5× SHIP IT → **VERDICT: SHIP IT**, scoped to the initial monitoring evidence only.
**The bar:** Every supplied ticket assessed in order; failures and critical skips visible; independently reproduced canary/API/READ ONLY boundaries; protected controls and source owners preserved; zero-cost guard enforced; all source outcomes explicitly unresolved.
**Do this now:** Reconcile the closing root measurement as another timestamped sample before finalizing; do not call its fluctuation growth or recovery.
**Process exception:** Calling `tk inbox --help` invoked inbox processing and marked 295 receipts read for dedicated reviewer actor `codex-yoloforever-cody-1600`. The helper does not implement that help flag. No source status/owner mutation was requested; parent independently verifies receipt-event scope. Subsequent reads used the canonical library with exact-message filtering.
**One sentence:** The monitoring is honest; the three systems still need their missing inputs and approvals, and no pile of green checks changes that.
**Proof correction:** Parent caught a Cody assertion that expected standalone `on` for both SQL consumers. Local pricing returns `read_only:on` inside JSON. Independently rechecked and corrected to PASS; original false failure retained in `cody-proof-before-correction.json`. Parent independently verified 295 reviewer receipt events and zero source state mutations.
