1dff83d · 2026-05-30 · fix: block .bak-<timestamp> files from being served (regex missed hyphen-suffixed .bak extensions) 
The backup-file guard regex did not match .bak-YYYYMMDDHHMMSS filenames because it
only checked for .bak followed by period or end-of-string. Updated to also match
.bak followed by any non-alphanumeric char, and added .bak(-...) capture in the
primary pattern. Removed public/index.html.bak-20260526152130 which was being served
as a full HTML page despite the guard.

8404f89 · 2026-05-19 · untrack snapshot/backup files; broaden .gitignore 
Removed 19 committed *.bak / *.bak.* / *.pre-* snapshot files (16 of
them under public/, so they were also web-servable). Broadened
.gitignore to cover *.bak.* and *.pre-* so they stay untracked.
Files remain on disk, just no longer in git.

- /api/facets total now counts PRODUCTS_NICHE (the filtered list
  actually served) instead of the raw unfiltered PRODUCTS array.
- Added clean-URL routes for /about /history /care /trade /sourcing
  so the extension-less nav links resolve instead of 404ing.
- Added Express middleware that 404s any .bak / .pre- path before
  the static handler, so snapshot files never serve from public/.

state.sort now defaults to newest, hydrates from localStorage before
the first loadGridPage() call, and is appended to /api/products params
so the server-side sort param is actually honored.
