# Onboard the York "New" items — TK-10031 (2026-07-28)

Steve asked to onboard "the 87 genuine un-onboarded items." Diagnosis reframed that:

## The 87 breakdown (verified read-only)
- **66 — DELIBERATELY HELD, do NOT onboard.** 59 settlement-held (flora/fauna flagged on marketing fields the
  cadence's keyword filter doesn't read — e.g. "Biscayne / Birds / Coastal") + 7 color-extraction failures.
  The cadence was re-proposing them daily because its keyword screen is weaker than the real hold decision.
- **21 — brand-new** (in master 'New', imaged, not-live, not in the 7/13 build pool).
  - **4 carry settlement red flags** the keyword filter missed → HELD: 4147-80007 Greenwood **Deciduous**,
    4172-27498 **Egret** (bird), 4148-27471 Coleus **Leaves**, 4172-82007 Biscayne **Flamingo** (bird).
  - **17 clean** → the real onboarding set (`data-onboard17-candidates.json`).

## Cadence fix applied (reversible, committed 563cd8e) — onboard-ready 87→17
Subtract the held-list mfrs + patch the keyword regex (added leaves/deciduous/egret/flamingo/crane/heron/
peacock/feather). The daily memo now reports the honest 17.

## The 17 clean candidates — all price-ready
All 17 have us_map + single-roll price (sellable, NOT sample-only under the no-cost rule). Vendors: Brewster/
A-Street books (Haberdashery, Sea Salt, PrintWorks) private-labeled Jeffrey Stevens. Patterns are geometrics/
stripes/damasks/textures/ikat (Exhale grasscloth, Octavia, Berkshire, Westley plaid, Essex, Abilene ikat,
Navarres/Destin/Largo stripes, Folly swirls, Salvo, Adavu, Nabi, etc.).

## GATED remaining pipeline (needs Steve GO — spend + customer-facing create)
1. **Settlement VISION gate** (mandatory, binding) on the 17 images — ~$0.01 (Gemini vision).
2. **Enrich** (color/spec extraction) — ~$0.01 (Gemini vision).
3. **Build payloads** → york-new-create format (reversible local files).
4. **Gated DRAFT create**: `node york-new-create.mjs --file=data/onboard17-payloads.json --apply --i-am-steve`
   (creates DRAFT only; publish DRAFT→ACTIVE is a further separate gated step.)
